Market Context

West African CNF cashew prices have firmed modestly in early June 2026, recovering from the harvest-season trough. The Ghana main crop is now largely complete, with exporters reporting good RCN outturn quality — KOR averages around 48–50 across Brong-Ahafo and Bono East, which is in line with the TCDA reference. Demand from Indian processing is stable, and Vietnamese processors are showing renewed buying interest after a cautious Q1. The Indian kernel surplus that weighed on FOB prices through April–May is beginning to clear, which should support further price recovery in Q3. EU buyers are moving more deliberately given EUDR compliance requirements — expect continued preference for exporters who can produce satellite-verified due diligence documentation. Currency tailwinds (GHS appreciation against USD over May) have slightly compressed local GHS-denominated farm-gate prices, creating a small buying window for exporters with local liquidity.

Reference (TCDA standard): KOR 48 · 180 nuts/kg (W180) · 10% moisture · 0% defects · Benchmark: $1,650/t CNF
KOR and nut count are correlated in practice: smaller nuts tend to reduce outturn. This estimate treats all four parameters independently (v1 simplification).
